John Wilkinson - LDSRCS (Birmingham 1981)

John has been the at Shaw Village Dental & Wellness since 1998. Before that he worked in Cheltenham for five years, and then in Hungerford and Marlborough for a further five years before moving to West Swindon. John loves all areas of general dentistry. GDC no. 55209

Julie Oakland - EDH (Guys 1986)

Julie qualified as a hygienist in 1986 having previously been a dental nurse. She is passionate about helping patients to achieve and maintain the best oral health possible. She also has a keen interest in supporting orthodontic patients to look after their teeth during a course of treatment. GDC no. 3219

Helen Reay - BDS (Birmingham 2004) Pg Dip Nutritional Therapy

Helen qualified from Birmingham Dental School in 2004 and joined the Shaw Village Team as an Associate Dentist in 2017. She carries out all aspects of dental treatment and has a caring and empathic approach to patients. Helen has a holistic view to healthcare and is a qualified nutritional therapist.

I'm a qualified dental nurse with the NEBDN in 2023.

I worked in a NHS/PVT practice in Marlborough for 2 years.

I joined the practice in June 2024. I enjoy assisting patients, providing quality care and team bonding.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, gardening, badminton and exploring new places.

Hygienist Diploma DH RCSED 2003

Tracey gained her Diploma in Dental Hygiene from The Royal College Surgeons Edinburgh in 2003 whilst serving in the Royal Air Force. Tracey joined the practice in 2021.

Stella Collier - Dental Nurse NEBDN 1987

Stella qualified in 1987 and has worked with John since 1994. She moved with the practice to its current location in 1998. Stella enjoys the rapport with patients that have been with us since those days. GDC no. 143315

Dental Receptionist

Nikki Joined the Practice in January 2023 as part time receptionist after being a patient of Johns for over 20 years . Previously worked as a preschool teacher and in various administration/customer service roles

Dental Receptionist

Sarah joined the Practice in 1993 and is usually the first point of contact. Her experience ensures efficient customer service and appointment booking.

Tracey Martin
Practice Coordinator

Tracey joined the Practice in 2018 and has over 25 years of dental experience. She is responsible for ensuring the Practice runs smoothly and liaising with external bodies such as the Care Quality Commission and Simplyhealth Professionals/Denplan.

"I hadn't been to a dentist in almost 25 years following a traumatic experience during my last visit all those years ago.

I spoke with Brigitte in total confidence about my fear and she has been totally confidential with my issue and handled my treatment with the most sensitive and utmost care. It was possible I could easily have lost the remainder of my teeth over the next few years, but with the help of Brigitte that will now not happen and I can smile openly again.

The receptionists are always pleasant and very polite and friendly and speak to me as if they have known me for years. I am so so pleased the hard part is over for me and I can now go for regular checkups and hygiene appointments without a second thought.
